Commitment Day

It was commitment day
I saw her eyes, I hear the bells,
Forever 2 hearts pounding away
Friends and family
I was really doing this today
My words rebounding
Yes ma and dad I am gay
Though we can't be married
In the old fashion way
We love each other and commit to love and
Cherish each other in everyway
And with this kiss I offer bliss
In times of good and in duress
I love you so and God bless
She said, I DO I DO
We began to kiss, she said wait my it's turn
She said with these words
Just as hot wax seals a pledge
I seal the bliss, 2 hearts as in one, I love you
For now and forever in front of everyone
My commitment to love and cherish is yours
As if 2 waxes pressed in a seal joined as one
To love and cherish each other for eternity
Yes I said "That's our deal"
