Angel Of The Desert
The wind was blowing
Sands were flying
We traveled not knowing
~
Out of the east I begin to see
A shape and yet not
Wisps of coloration moving closer to me
~
It was showing us the way
Thirsty and hungry we followed
The cloud of color seemed to say
~
The winds blew harder stinging sands
On my face, I felt I could go no longer
Upon my face she placed her hands
~
Don't give up, we're almost there
Wine and food await you
She started to glow, I couldn't help but stare
~
We had made it
I saw refuge and open markets
We were alive, my bottom lip, I bit
~
Looking back to where I had come
I believe I saw her wave
Without that angel we would have succumb
~
A good heart will always prevail
And with the angel of the desert watching over you
You will never fail
