Absence

Right after school we found our place

We attended college, two became one

School and life was a hectic pace

But together we had a lot of fun

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder

And I suppose they're right

She traveled to places I can only ponder

She was going to be here tonight

~

The feeling was like chalk on a blackboard

Hairs on my neck standing on end

Or like the feeling being choked by a cord

Gasp!!!! Gasping starting to bend

~

Wanting to smell her perfume

I aspired to get close to her

She smiled at me from across the room

Tears made my eyes blur

~

I was crying when she hugged me and kissed me

Said "There, there now I am home, everything is all right"

Giggling I could barely see, I heard her say she loves me

I whispered in her ear" you'd better, don't forget I bite"

We were back as one……..
