Feeling' Foolish
Smiling looking out my window
A wild turkey was watching me
And in the background a rainbow
Just like you might see on TV
~
I swear the turkey was tame
And a good 40 lbs
Wondered what was its name
It made such interesting sounds
~
I was curious if I could get near
I walked slowly step by step
But it had a fear
Into the air it leapt
~
I jumped and ran
It chased me
I ran behind the van
I laughed at little ole' me
~
And came out
I couldn't help but s mil
e It was funny, I had started to shout
What a trial
~
No turkey in sight
Silly and childish
Thinking about my fright
Feeling foolish
~
I will never forget that night
