The way you kissed me and rockets red glare

Bombs bursting everywhere

How you would sit still and just stare

And how I fixed your hair

~

I dressed you to kill,

And how they did stare

When we met you were a pill

A precious gem so beautiful and rare

~

Is it that warm feeling you are feeling?

Or the quickening of your heart beat

The deliciousness or even that little squeal

The way you seem to squirm on your seat

~

It's all of these and more

It's the uneasiness with things as they are

What ever happened to the good old days, will we endure?

Do you remember the night of the shooting star?

~

And our hopes and dreams flew across the sky

We hitched our lives on that shooting star

And, yes I still love you, I heard her sigh

After these years we still ARE
