REFLECTIONS

I lifted myself up on to my elbow,

Looking at her, lying there, so serene,

The room a soft pastel glow,

So perfect, like this, I had never seen.

~

Her lovely, long red hair, and hazel eyes,

Like an angel resting, without a care,

All I could do was fantasize,

She was my soul mate, I was beginning to stare.

~

She was breathtaking, such a lovely being

Her scent was fragrant and delicate,

Made me think of flowers and other sweets of spring.

I heard myself say "Gawd, I love you."
