 Mermaid,The

Fish-girl-honor

~

She was a fish

She was a girl

She was delish

And I loved her curl

~

She swam so silently

Sneaking up on unsuspecting swimmers

Then she swam by me

~

The water set her off

Like glimmers wet scales all I could see

Others will scoff

~

Just thinking

Of the honor she has showed me

As she disappeared sinking

Into the velvety darkness of the sea

~

Oh no one will believe

This mermaid I had seen

No one could conceive

Her beauty

~

We had been so close

We swam together

And after she kissed my nose

~

I was happy that she had chose

To let me see her and talk

So often on the beach we pose

So down by the sea I sulk

~

Now this will be disputed

But I don't care

Her beauty can't be refuted

~

So down by the sea

I sit and wait

Quiet and lonely

~

To the place

I first met her

Such an angelic face

~

The mermaid with

The long golden hair
