Cheetah Babies

Two cheetah babies
Are out looking for mom,
Through the tall grasses
The two of them romp.

While looking for their mom
They see a butterfly pass by,
Run and try to catch
They only wish they could fly.

They run into an elephant
He looks at them kind of strange,
Raises his trunk, high in the air
Looks all three do exchange.

The two cheetah babies
From all that running about,
Play time is over for them
As they are getting worn out.

They finally find a place to lay
To wait for their mom,
They slowly fall asleep together
All is quiet and calm.

I am writing a children's poetry book as well. This will be one of the poems I will be adding.
