Birds sitting on a fence
Waiting their turn,
All lined in a row
Getting a sunburn.

What are they waiting for?
Something that's a cool treat,
No, they aren't waiting
For anything to eat.

One bird flies off the fence
Another moves in the empty spot,
More birds sit and wait
'Neath the sun so hot.

In the middle of the lawn
Sits a cooling bird bath,
Taking turns, these birds were
Following eachother's path.

A friend of the family told me about this. She thought it was cute. Then said, "Maybe you can write a poem about that." Well, here it is. :o)

This will also be going into the children's book.
