My new dress

We were watching the sunset
She says “guess what? I made you a sheath”
I said “a sheath, how lucky can I get?”
“It's a dress silly” she says

We lay there all night
Kissing and hugging
Till early morning light
~
She had to go
I had to get busy
Because today is hers I know
~
Another lovely warm day
The morning started off like any other
I found myself just a singing do re me Faso la Tay
~
I don't know where that tune came from
It had arrived in a stealth kind of way
Banging in my head, it was like a drum

~
She made it is all I know,
A new dress for me
With a silver glow
So in that dress I will be
~
She will show me what she made
What I am going to wear
To the parade
She is so happy she won,
She is to be in the car cade,
~
Sitting up on the seat
Waving and smiling
To the crowds, can't be beat
~
Well we had better go
She is the guest of honor
But no one knows what I know
~
Tonight she is coming out
After the festivities
She is prepared to shout
~
Well now there's the limo
Time for us to go
Soon everyone will know
