Elation
It was pure elation I felt
I wasn't cool at all
I was almost starting to melt
~
So hot and humid
But to be picked
I was still just a kid
~
Was to me the wildest thing?
I wasn't so secure in my gift
But winning this sure did give me lift
~
I wanted to let everyone know
I was so happy so filled with glee
I love writing poetry, so
I will write you see
Of everything that's is close to me
