 So Heavy

The sign said welcome

To blue sky country

I smelled her perfume

~

She leaned close,

Oh my Gawd the scent

Wafting in my nose

~

It was as if a picture postcard

On my right, and she an a angel on my left

Oh my what a lovely yard

~

She said here help me,

Smiling I said ok

And happy to see

I took the case from her right away

~

I had seen her heft, the suitcase

She was so strong, so young

Wanted to kiss her face

~

But just then a bee and I was stung

I dropped the case

She made me assume

my place

And then our song she sung

~

Said that this is not a race

So help me

With this suit case

It's so heavy
