`Computers, friends, silence

They're in the room
Was a blank screen?
I was filled with gloom
As AOL had interrupted my scene

The silence was deafening
And in behind that blankness
My modem just wouldn't start talking
All ready I was feeling such loneliness

On the other side
Friends and strangers
Far and wide
No risks no dangers
~
Computer and mouse too
Modems, monitors all a blur
All machines, what can you do
You're at their mercy that's for sure
