Why it is that when I write nothing seems to fit the rhyme?

Have you ever pondered why Soldier has to have the word die?
Has your mind ever pondered why they didn't spell it Souldure as I?
Just why nothing ever seems to make any since in this life?
Or what it was exactly that made you chose me as a wife?
Have you ever wondered about lightening the burden of the load?
Has your mind ever pondered of traveling that other road?
Could you survive and make it if you were in this world alone?
Would you rest at night if you didn't know that you are my own?
Have you ever wondered just exactly what it is that I feel?
Has your mind ever pondered what it is that I pray as I kneel?
Could it make a difference when you lay your head down at night?
