When You When you close your eyes at night
do you feel me hold you tight?
Can you feel my breath upon your skin
as my hand touches your chin?
Can you hear the words I whisper in your ear
telling you I am near?
When you dream is it my smiling face
that takes the fear of that place?
Do you know I spend every night
visiting your mind trying to add light?
Do you know I am there at your side
feeling the pain you so deeply try to hide?
When you close your eyes and try to sleep
can you feel my love through your veins seep?
Have you let me walk through your mind
just to tell you our love is not left behind?
Have you felt my presence through the miles
as I tell you to forget the jumbled wiles?
