Beauty or Beast
People out of work have fear
Surviving the cold part of the year
Oh they smile and try not to cry
Once a long time ago their smile wasn't a lie
To some the snow is just winter at its best
To others it is wet and cold. another life test
Homeless cold and forgotten
Layered with newspaper under their cotton
The snow covers unsightly things
Hunger and warmth just two more stings
So for a few days of every year
Carolers sing of Christmas cheer
