 Lunar Eclipse

I've waited since last year
To see this,
The cloud cover is awful
I am so miffed.

Ran down the stairs
Out to the front,
Just a little corner covered
For what seemed like a month.

Standing outside
For over an hour,
Chilled to the bone
Our galaxy has it's own power.

I could see
The orange colored hue,
I stood outside for this and froze
What more could I do?

Before it completely covered
It seemed like forever,
In your arms wrapped in warmth
You and I together.

After a year
It was worth the wait,
I'm inside now, having a coffee
And staying up late.
