Hot, Humid Days

Hot, humid days
Seem to take their toll,
The warm, sunny sky
Takes total control.

It's been like this
For the past three days,
Feeling the blistering heat
'Neath the sun's rays.

No amount of water
Can cool you down,
No cooling breeze
An extreme heatwave, all over town.

With the temps we've been having, you can't even get into the shade. It's well into the 40's in the shade. No relief at all.
