Oh, Icy Morn

Woke at dawn,
Oh, icy morn,
Now winter,
Saunters in,
The sun,
Makes an appearance,
Devoid of warmth,
Within,

And autumn,
Soon forgotten,
With icy,
Snow capped hills,
Adorned with woollen,
Scarf and gloves,
Again,
The winter chills,

And yet,
The sun shines brightly,
Through clouds,
Devoid of rain,
They gently float,
Above me,
And make me smile,
Again.
