January Thaw

As I inhale and exhale
The cool fresh air
The brisk winds
Whispers in my ear
The crisp white snow
That sparkles like diamonds
I fall to the ground
As I make angels... all around
The children, making snowmen
While the parents pulling sleds
Little puppies, digging holes
With snow, on the tip of their nose
As I catch a snow flake
on my tongue
I closed my eyes
And wished... I was a kid again
The sun, now over the horizon
The moon will be rising
It won't be long now
There will be a...January thaw
