Did She Not See?

Did she not see?
That she was the one,
Who touched me,
Like no other,

Who saved me,
from me……….

Lifted me,
With a gentle smile,
And made me live again,
And broken, spiralling,
I watch silently,
As she walks,
From my life,
To somewhere,
Somewhere, out of reach.

Did I say something?
Too little, too much,
To cause,
Such sorrow,
In her eyes,
And break her,
Like a fragile,
Dresden doll.

Will she come back?
She, who holds my life,
In her hands,
She, who is my love,
And my life ………

No backward glance,
Unrepentant,
And unforgiving,
And yet,
She loves me,
I know,

Because I saw her cry …….
