I'd like to ask you,
What is this all about?
Now tell me,
Do you hear me?
Or do I have to shout?
Please tell me now,
With certainty,
That you're still on my side,
And if that's true,
Enlighten me,
I know you cannot hide.
Why is it that you give so much,
Then take it all away,
I'd like to know your answer,
What have you got to say?
You say that we're your children,
Can you watch us suffer so,
In love, we find your greatest gift,
In grief, we're letting go.
And tell me, when I need you most,
You seem so far away,
And why do you not listen,
When I close my eyes and pray.
I'm writing you this letter,
To tell you how I feel,
You really take the biscuit,
