Polar Bears

The sun shone on the ice cap,
A little did it melt,
The polar bears were snug and warm,
Inside their thermal pelt.

Essential for survival,
In the harshest winter yet,
Protected by their thick white fur,
As homeward bound they set.

And as the sun set in the west,
To silhouette their form,
And captured for posterity,
Two bears with nothing on.
