Dance Upon The Breeze
When I am gone from here,
No longer gazing fondly on this scene,
Would I still linger longingly in thought?
Or, glimpsed only, in a fitful, fretful dream,
When I am gone from here,
Will you come, to find me in this place?
To sit a while and see me standing there,
A memory carried on the evening breeze,
Held preciously, a moment trapped in time,
When I am I gone from here,
Will you remember such a night as this?
Cold and dark, yet warmed by gentle sky,
Surrendering to a peace that now descends,
All silent now but for a distant cry,
When I am gone from here,
The trees, the gentle scene,
They will remain,
To comfort with a bitter sweet refrain,
Will you come?
To find me in this place,
And feel my spirit dance,
Upon the breeze.
