Sleep Feels like winter tonight,
Cold and desperately dark,
No moon or twinkling stars to catch my eye,
It rains hard and deep clouds mar my view,
I feel tired, spent by the troubles of the day,
The minor, major annoyances that creep in,
On a wave of apathy,
Instilling suppressed gaiety,
To my once joyous heart,
Sleep is the cure,
Sleep will erase the cares of this day,
And replenish me by morn.
