Eastern Sun Rise

The hours passed quickly through this night,
With tender thoughts of you,
So out of reach and out of touch
And somehow, out the blue,
The early tiredness left me,
With some pages set to fill,
And I watched the eastern sun rise over yonder hill,
Alone,

I wish you could have seen it too,
Wish you'd shared the dawn with me,
To bathe in all its glory, place a bid to set us free,
We share a deep connection,
That somehow,
Will not be broken,
On pages, words are written down,
Yet, somehow,
Will not be spoken,

I'm sure I made my presence felt,
You may have heard me groan,
As I watched the eastern sun rise over yonder hill,
Alone.
