I Am Home

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I'm back again,
The peace and calm permeates,
I am home,
This place of beauty and tranquillity,
The deserted sandy beach tempts me,
Even on this cold and grey day,
And I find my place there,
My sweet sanctuary,
My ocean, my sea of tears,
Constant, unstable, unstoppable,
Free flowing.

I let the sound of the waves,
Wash over me,
And breathe the atmosphere,
The very essence of this place,
Is food for my soul,
And hungrily,
I feast upon it,
Relishing every morsel,
My appetite never sated,
I can gorge myself here,
In complete solitude.

I am alone,
Yet need no one to accompany me,
No conversation required,
For this is ample for me,
I reach for the horizon,
Where ocean meets sky,
Merging into oneness,
And I become an intrinsic part of this vast expanse,
Of land, sea and air.

The cool breeze chills me,
And I shiver in response,
Yet I have no desire to seek shelter from it,
But merely brace myself,
In retaliation,
And smile inwardly,
At my attempt,
I hear a gull squawk in the distance,
But he does not disturb me,
Nor I, he,

Does he not also play his part here?

I listen to the gentle rustle of the waves on the shore,
And breathe in their rhythm,
Whilst my cares evaporate as mist,
And are carried on the wind,
I desperately sought my solace here,
In this place where Heaven must surely be,
I have come home,
I'm happy,
And I'm free.
