 Public Speak

Joint Flair Saint

In her joints she felt her fear
Someone said "you're next dear"
It's hard to public speak
She felt like a freak

Her throat tightened
She was frightened
With watering eyes
And gasping sighs

Breathless and wordless
She felt ache and loneliness
As God s my witness
She was a pitiful mess

But, spoke with flair
People seem to care
Hoping she didn't faint
Knowing she wasn't a saint

And yet, she was preaching
Let's call it beseeching
She started to plead her case
Her emotions in a race

She finished and bowed
The applause was so loud
After her presentation
She received a standing ovation
