The Poignant Pen
The poignant pen moves swiftly on the page,
Words appear by magic to engage,
Thoughts and feelings,
I can visualise,
Mystic mountains,
Never-ending skies,
The poignant pen writes words of long lost love,
That slipped away,
So silent in the night,
The pen recalls the pain,
The tear filled eye,
A promise, of a bitter sweet,
Goodbye,
The poignant pen writes mournful melodies,
Designed to touch,
A lonely empty heart,
The pen will write its words,
The poem flourished,
To feed a heart,
That's sadly; under-nourished.
