Borrowed Time

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Our lives revolving,
Round the clock,
We barely hear,
The tick, the tock,

As children,
How the time goes slow,
Now looking back,
Where did it go?

In adulthood,
The years rush by,
We say we live,
In truth, we die,

We realise that time is short,
Dreams we have may come to naught,
And then it dawns, we understand,
That time, like love, just can't be bought,

Each day precious, rain or shine,
From the day our lives begun,
Realising, looking back,
That time is borrowed, from day one.
