Grandma's In Curlers
I woke up this morning
And saw the most horrible sight,
Grandma had curlers in her hair
I had a terrible fright.
I have never seen
My grandmother in curlers before,
I tried to run away
But she quickly slammed the door.
"Come 'er," she said
"And give granny a kiss,"
I just stood and shook my head
I wasn't going to miss this.
She had forgotten
To put her false teeth in,
I tried not to laugh
But, I did however, stare with a grin.
She took out her curlers
A big smile, then I wore,
She had brushed her hair nice and neat
Now, this is the grandma, I adore.
She still forgot her teeth
Which looked rather funny,
How is she supposed to eat, using her gums?
Her food would have to be rather runny.
I hope I never have to wake
To this nightmare again,
Seeing grandma in curlers
I'd have to keep her away from grandpa then.

This is fiction. I've seen my grandmother in curlers before, but it never seemed to freak me out. LOL
