I Do Like The Rain

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I know we complain,
But I do like the rain,
There's something so gentle about it,

Feels relaxing to me,
Shelter under a tree,
And watch silver raindrops come splashing,

And there's no one around,
It soaks into the ground,
And awakens the worm from its slumber,

I have time to waste,
So there's no need for haste,
I take pleasure in being under cover,

The clouds start to clear,
Watch the sun, reappear,
And its warmth takes it back where it came from,

My feet are now kissed,
By a carpet of mist,
As it rises and swirls all around me,

I am lost in my time,
But the weather is fine,
And others will come now to join me,

It's a terrible day,
I hear them now say,
I guess they don't like summer showers,

But they don't hear me complain,
For I do like the rain,
There's just something, so gentle about it.
