Pull My Finger

I remember when I
Was much younger,
Going to my grandparents' house.

My grandfather
Always used to be
Full of gas,
Whenever I had shown up.

"Pull my finger,"
He would say.

I fell for it every time.

If I didn't
Pull his finger,
He would let one loose
And he would blame it on
The squeaky floor boards.

That....
Or look at me
With a big grin
On his face
And say, "Cindy, you didn't."

My grandfather
Is still a hoot,
Now he does it to
The great grandkids.
