 The Living Dead (Pt.2)

As I struggle to get back up on my feet,
I see a shadow quickly fly past me.

"Who's there?"

Dead silence.

*+*

The rain starts to drip onto my face,
I huddle in the corner,
I see eyes peering at me
from the darkness.

*+*

The rain starts to downpour,
my eyes are covered with my drenched hair,
I feel hot breath on one side
of my neck,
then....
I feel skin being torn away
from my body.

*+*

I scream out in agony,
but there's nobody around
to hear my mournful cries.

*+*

I look up and there must be
a dozen or so vampires surrounding me.

*+*

What did I do to deserve this?

*+*

The ground soaks with my blood,
the rain carries it down the
small slope in the alleyway.

*+*

It must have been their voices
I heard in the dead of darkness.

*+*

They stand over me
waiting for me to cross over
to their world....
the world of the living dead.

*+*

I could feel my body
being changed from human,
to being an immortal.

*+*

I was the thirst for their hunger,
they hunted me down
and turned me into one of them....
one of the living dead.

*+*
