Turkey On The Run

Turkey
On the run,
Another year that
Thanksgiving Day has come.

Potatoes, stuffing
Pickles and pie,
"Hey, where's the turkey?"
He was gone, in the blink of an eye.

Not in the oven
Not on the counter,
Where has he gone?
Hmmmm, I wonder.

Not in the livingroom
Watching t.v.,
I wonder
Where could he be?

He's not anywhere to be found
"Gobble, gobble,"
"Oh look, he's under
The kitchen table."

"Oh mister turkey
Come here dear,
You are lucky
We are having chicken this year."
