Mixed Message

I sat upon a lonely beach,
Wrote a letter in the sand,
I hoped that you would find it,
And then you'd understand,

That I'd stopped thinking of you,
And you never came to mind,
I dropped some subtle hints and tips,
They do say, love is blind,

I spelt out LOVE in capitals,
A heart set out in stone,
Of course …….
I never thought of you,
And hope, that you don't phone.
