Street Gang Surprise

Two youths walked by a cigar store,
Whatever on their minds,
Contented-seemed- in streetlight's glow,
But trouble came behind.
Out of an alleyway some six
Quite young of age night jerks
Swarmed walked and caught up to the two
In whom surprises lurked.
A push, a shove, a swing, the like,
Some bodies flew around
Until two of the eight stood tall,
While six sprawled on the ground.
Amazed, I stared from where I sat
That two took on those six-
Karate chops, jujitsu holds,
Some very well placed kicks.
Two youths walked past a cigar store,
Six punks had just been downed.
Who knows why all of this occurred
As I bussed through downtown?
