A heart broken
A Heart Broken
Written 11/5/2000
I'm tired,the day long and my work was hard.
My body aches.
Company is pain,as I sit by the fire, warm by it's flame.
My mind is weak and worn,it's battled all the day.
Who but one can see,the scares inside my heart.
Behind my smile the heart sheds tears.
My feet walks a narrow path,integrity I must keep.
The voice from within is company I keep.
The heart broken, wounds are hard to heal.
No one will ever see, tears shed in the heart.
With a smile ,I say I'm fine.
Most think I'm strong but oh how weak I feel.
Behind a smile my heart cries,oh Lord carry my load.
Let no one see,my saddened heart or spirit broken within.
God hide my heart behind a smile.
Let my heart's tears be not in vain.
