Mother's Day Visit

Mother's Day Visit
written for a precious mother 4/27/ 1996

Mother ,I came to bring you flowers on this day.
The fragrance,is heaven sent,
Like you were to me.
The peddles beautiful, like you are to me.
The roots are strong,
Like the bond you have with me.
God gave a little seed ,let it grow inside,
As it grew, it became me.
Through the pain of birthing me,
You loved me,oh so much.
You listened to the cries I made,
You knew just what to do.
As I grew, you played, laughed and cried with me.
As I learned to walk,it was your hand I held.
Your love is very special,A treasure in my life.
Now I'm a mother,I hope I can be,all you were to me.
This is why,I come to visit your grave,
Here on mother's day.
