Holiday Delight

Holiday Delight
12/7/2000

Frost thickly sets.
Stars brightly shine.
Cold is nipping at the nose.
Thanksgiving feasts are over.
The fireplace is cozy .
We enjoy the last piece of pumpkin pie.
The trees are bare except for the pine.
Deer runs from the hunters as the hawk gives a call.
Animals hide with hope to warm from winter's cold.
Snow flurries blow against the windowpanes of home.
Smells of cookies fill the house.
Mom ask for Santa's list.
Stockings are hung in wait for Saint Nick.
Christmas trees are blinking.
Children's faces aglow.
Christmas carols warm the heart.
Shoppers search for the right gifts.
Faces are bright and hearts warm.
We are going to celebrate the birthday of Christ.
An old year passes as the new one begins.
