Grand Paw

My Gran-Pa
Written 7/31/1998

I know I have a temper,I like to talk alot.
Mom and Dad taught me to talk but now say be still.
Teacher said, Speech was important.
Principal said, speak when you are spoken to.
If I must say good things, teach me what to say.
You say I must grow up, why can you not grow down?
Oh,I need to know a lot.
I'll just ask my Gran-Pa.
Grand-Pa,who made the sky blue?
Who placed the stars?
How come animals can't talk and frogs can't walk?
Why is grand-Ma shorter than you?
Blue was God's favorite color ,just like your eye.
Animals can talk, you just can't understand them.
Frogs can walk, they just jump to get little boys attention.
Grand-ma's shorter cause,grand-Pa needed someone to lean on.
Gran-Pa took time to talk to me.
He taught me many things.
That is why,I never shall forget,my Gran-Pa.
