Memoirs

Sometimes it hurts to browse memoirs of what used to be
Other times it brings a loving glow
Sometimes you're on the beach, being pounded by the sea
Caught in a type of undertow

I looked at our photos, and letters
The pain and pleasure all thru the night
The kiss and the bite, the wine the feathers
Her love a sublime delight

She wore a black shimmering dress
Rhinestones all ablaze
Closer she moved till our lips began to caress
My mind all a glaze

Suddenly she slapped my face
My face was in extreme distortion
Love and anger, my emotions caught up in the race
The pleasure and the pain, I was in complete saturation

Like a deer caught in headlights
I was frozen, and on fire
As she kissed me so intense
I was so filled with desire

I fell into her hypnotic trance
She pulled and pushed me like no one
She made me dance and prance
But all in all we had such fun
