Lest' I forget

The poetry deadline was reset
I hate being rushed
I hadn't written,
but I didn't forget
I had to write it soon
Busy was my weekend
Company and all
I was pushed to the end
No wonder I would be late
*It was clear that no matter
You wouldn't care, you were in a rush
As I sat listening to the rain and it's pitter patters
I had this poem flow in to mind
Deadlines are set
And should be kept
Planning of time,
lest I forget to hush,
I did it to comply
with your push
