Forever

Distraught,fighting, laughing, crying

~

She was not able to give us hope

She saw the worse in everything I said

Each day I tried to cope

~

Not at fault was she

It was both of us

We used to be so happy

~

Where had it gone wrong

We became I

No longer singing along

~

I was distraught and crying

We had been fighting

No longer laughing

~

Every word a curse

Words not meant to inflame

But just making it worse

~

Our relationship drawn

And extremely terse

One could only yawn

~

We had done the unthinkable

We had said good-bye

But ours was a relationship unsinkable

~

And after all that had past

It came to be, we loved each other

We both were aghast

~

Reality had seen fit to clue us in

And no more fighting,

We are back together again

~

She knows I never stopped loving her

And this part will soon be but a blur

Yes! I love my Jennifer
